About Kathryn Davis
Kathryn Davis is an avid flautist and pianist who loves sharing her passion of music with others. At age 8, Kathryn started taking piano lessons and grew a deep love for music. Shortly after, she discovered the flute and took her musical abilities to the next level. Having taken flute lessons from Kimberly Rini for 6 years, Kathryn flourished under her instruction. As a 3-time FMEA All-State Musician, Kathryn has been recognized as one of the best flautists in the state of Florida. She was principal flautist of the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and was a finalist for multiple concerto competitions. Currently, while pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance alongside a pre Speech-Language Pathology track at the University of Florida, Kathryn is greatly involved in a variety of musical activities. She has made her mark in the UF Wind Symphony, UF's top music ensemble, and has played in many chamber ensembles with some of UF's best musicians. Recently, Kathryn has played in various professional orchestras, playing in concert venues such as the Straz Center in Tampa and the Florida Theater in Jacksonville. In addition, Kathryn plays piccolo in the UF Gator Marching Band and is in the UF Flute Studio. She has a deep love for music and would love to spread it with others in the Tampa Bay area.
